The STEM Experience Center is located at Camp Dellwood in Indianapolis as part of Girl Scouts of Central Indiana. The campus is open year-round to host an opportunity for experiences in STEM topics such as botany, coding, automotive engineering, environmental stewardship, and more.
Through research-backed programming, the STEM Experience Center will provide girls, families, students, and the community access to hands-on STEM learning in a unique outdoor camp experience increasing not only female STEM interest, but also increasing the number of STEM professionals in Indiana.
Study the weather, space, and climate. Complete with a virtual activity to study constellations!
Learn different ways on how to build a bike, then test it out on our paved or mountain bike trails.
Discover insects, plants, and how pollinators work in our garden spaces!
Learn different ways of coding, data and computer science through the use of different Nintendo video games!
Host field trip groups, facilitate Girl Scout programs, and welcome troops in for Badge Lab and rotating exhibits.
Explore math and fitness in nature as you work out on different exercise equipment on one of our hiking trails.
Design, troubleshoot, and make different projects using wood, cardboard, plastic, and more with various forms of tools.
Discover how shapes are an integral part of building our fun play space.
It take a lot of forensic science and preservation skills to keep this historic property in great condition.
Study angles, trajectory, and velocity by trying archery, air rifles, or slingshots.
